Gaston MAX- Vendor Application

Gaston MAX - March 26, 2022

Gaston MAX (Multicultural Arts Xperience) is taking place on March 26 from 2:00PM - 7:00PM at the Rotary Pavilion in downtown Gastonia.  The City of Gastonia, Gaston County Public Library, Friends of the Gaston County Public Library, and Gaston County Government are partnering to celebrate the wide variety of cultures living in Gaston County and to showcase artists, authors, and entertainers. 

Vendor fees:

  • Downtown Gastonia businesses: free
  • Vendors: $15 vendor fee
  • Power: $10 fee
  • Food trucks: $30 fee
  • If you have an activity at your booth (game, craft, cultural information) your vendor fee will be waived

The vendor application deadline is February 13, 2022.  All applicable fees must be received in order for application to be considered completed.  City of Gastonia Event Planner, Christine Ingle, will be in contact with an online invoice link to pay for the application fee.

Vendor Guidelines and Information:

- All vendors will be allowed to display their goods on March 26 from 2:00PM to 7:00PM.

- Individual vendor booth area is 10' x 10'.  

- Only space is provided.  If you need utilities, the extra fee is $10. Vendors are responsible for providing their own table, chair, and tent.  Tents must not exceed 10ftx10ft and they must be secured with tent weights or sandbags.

- Vendors are responsible for all permits, licenses, and insurance needed.  Please send all applicable documents to Christine Ingle at christinei@cityofgastonia.com within 30 days of the festival.

- There will be no refunds due to wind, rain, snow, or other inclement weather.  This is a rain or shine event.

- All vendor activities must be suitable for a family event.  Offensive materials, ads, or public displays will be removed and participation refused.

- Do not block private drives, entrances, or doors.  Be respectful of private property.

- Booth set up is no earlier than 11:30AM and must be completed no later than 1:30PM.

- Booth breakdown is no earlier than 7:00PM and must be completed no later than 8:00PM.

- It is the responsibility of the vendor to keep the booth and surrounding area clean.  Each vendor shall leave the area in the same condition as it was found.

- Vendors are required to adhere to all applicable laws and provisions established by North Carolina, Gaston County Health Department, and the City of Gastonia Police and Fire Departments.  Vendors shall adhere to all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations applicable to its business. - A finalized information packet containing all the regulations, policies, and procedures outlined in this application will be provided to the point of contact listed on the application within one week before the event.  The packet will also include a site map, other vendor information, and safety and emergency information.
