Gastonia Fire Department Foster Home Inspection Form

The Gastonia Fire Department performs foster home inspections as a courtesy to our citizens.

Before you fill out the below form and submit it to the Fire Marshal’s Office, please make sure you reside inside the Gastonia city limits.

If you do not reside inside the city limits, you will need to contact whichever jurisdiction you live in, to have the inspection performed.

Foster home inspection process:


1. Fill out the below form and submit it.

2. A fire inspector with the Fire Marshal’s Office will contact you via phone, and go over the state foster care form that your licensing agency provided you, and this will serves as your first inspection. If anything that is required is not done, you will need to take care of this BEFORE an inspector will come to the place of residence. When you are ready for inspection, a time will be setup for the on-site inspection.

3. Foster Home Inspection will take place at the residence. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FOSTER PARENT TO HAVE THE STATE FOSTER CARE FORM PRESENT FOR THE INSPECTION. If anything that was previously stated as being ready is not then the inspection will fail, and you will need to wait 30 days until the next inspection. If everything passes that is listed on the form, the inspector will sign the form and complete the inspection.
