The Gastonia Fire Department performs foster home inspections as a courtesy to our citizens and is free of charge, but please read the procedures below BEFORE submitting a request.

Before filling out the below form and submitting it to the Fire Marshal's Office, please make sure:

1. You reside inside the city limits of Gastonia (if you do not you will need to contact the jurisdiction you live in).

2. You have the state foster home fire inspection form given to you by your licensing agency.

3. You have completed EVERYTHING that is listed on the fire inspection form including having a newly purchased or professionally serviced fire extinguisher, evacuation plan posted, emergency numbers posted, and additional items on the fire inspection form. 

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED EVERYTHING ON THE FIRE INSPECTOR FORM DO NOT SUBMIT A REQUEST FOR A FOSTER HOME INSPECTION.

If you have the above criteria finished, fill out the form below and someone from the Fire Marshal's Office will contact you to discuss scheduling the inspection.

Please complete ALL of the information.

The Gastonia Fire Department will do everything possible to respond to your inspection request in a timely manner; however, please allow 4 to 5 business days between your request and an inspector contacting you.
