Gastonia Fire Department Smoke Alarm Request

The Gastonia Fire Department in conjunction with the Gaston County Firefighters Association provide free smoke alarms to citizens in need.

If you reside inside the city limits of Gastonia and need a smoke alarm, please fill out the form below. If you reside in Gaston County and not inside the city limits of Gastonia, you will need to call the Gaston County Fire Marshal's office or go to the county website at http://www.gastongov.com to submit a request.

Please note we do not give out smoke alarms at any of our fire stations. When this form is received, a member of the department will contact you to setup a date and time for the installation by the fire department in the home. In addition we do not install or provide free carbon monoxide alarms, or change out or install wired in smoke alarms.
